There's also a misconception that most writers are bad speakers, but I don't think it's true. 

I for one, am articulate when I communicate. My voice is as average as they come - not too high like a cheerleader's, and not too deep to even slightly mimic a man. 

I sit nicely between deep, smooth and girly. However you would expect a 20 something year old to sound - That's how I do!
